Buyers find compact and mid-size SUVs more interesting, and sales are showing that without a doubt. The PHEV system could change things up, but don’t expect spectacular results.
The new BMW X1 2023 will cost around $36,000. If you want the famous xDrive AWD (recommended), you will have to add $2,000. For this money, mid-size three-row SUVs offer mid-range models. Still, the premium feeling the German carmaker can provide is hard to match. The price of a PHEV model will start above $40k.
