Chevy Equinox 2024: Redesign, Colors, & Interior. Compact crossover class is the best-selling segment in the automotive industry. Ford F-150 truck achieves nearly a million sales per year, and another million comes from Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500. This is the largest part of the market. In the small crossover segment we have three models with sales above 400k, and plenty of them with six-digit purchases per year. Having this in mind, we will analyze one of the fresh models in the market– Chevy Equinox 2024 LT.
General Motors is not among these best-selling companies in the compact class. Equinox needs a lot of upgrades before it catches up with Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V, and Toyota Rav4. The LT is a good start, although fans expected more from its favorite vehicle. The new trim level keeps a turbo engine and if you want such powerplant, there is only one way to get it. The Chevy Equinox 2024 LT comes with a 2.0 I-4 as the base setup.
The LT package is slotted under the luxury Premium trim. However, additional upgrades make it very special. There are extra packages and single suites available only if you pick an LT version. Redline and Midnight editions are probably the best things you can get. Still, if you are not happy with infotainment, or safety, there are options that make these areas way better.

Chevy Equinox 2024 LT Package Accessories
The entry-level model for the compact crossover is Equinox L. There are two rows of seats available all across the lineup and the offer starts at $24,000. The new version is not going to change these. The base package brings a lot of safety features (automatic emergency and pedestrian braking, distance indicator, lane keep and departure assist …). Also, Chevrolet Infotainment 3 is the entry-level suite.
LS makes it better, while the LT upgrades this trim. In case you want this one, you will get HID headlights. Also, there are roof rails and body-color caps for mirrors. The driver’s seat has a power adjusting function and a special display at the dashboard. A package with a 2.0-liter engine includes dual exhaust system and chrome outlets. Larger wheels with unique designs are there as well.
Midnight, Redline, and Other Upgrades
The good thing about the Chevy Equinox 2024 LT is the availability of complete suites of features you can’t find elsewhere. For example, the Midnight edition. This is definitely one of the best upgrades for the lineup. With the black trims, LT Midnight is more aggressive. Memory packages for front seats are added, as well as heating for outside mirrors. Leather buckets are definitely worthy of mention.
Another package we can consider a good buy is Redline Edition. This set of accessories adds navigation, extra USB ports, and red accents all around the dashboard. Outside, we will find black mirror caps and contrasting red outlines on grille badge.
These are thematic upgrades. With single packages, you can improve safety, infotainment, or other key areas. Confidence & Convenience Package comes with dual-zone climate control, heated seats, extra USB ports, or a larger infotainment screen. There are also some smaller packages that will add more features in particular segments of the Chevy Equinox 2024 LT model and we can’t find them elsewhere.
Chevy Equinox 2024 LT Specs
Everything you find under the hood of the Chevy Equinox 2024 LT is turbocharged. The base engine is 1.5-liter petrol. Thanks to the boost, it can produce 170 hp and 200 pound-feet. Front-wheel drive is standard and all trim levels except the Premier will offer this unit. A nine-speed gearbox is a power router, while the AWD is optional.

LS trim level also uses the smallest displacement, while the 2.0-liter engine becomes available with the LT model. The power output goes up to 250 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed transmission sends power again to the front or all wheels. The price will jump, but the 0-60 mph acceleration time takes the cut. That is not all since the Chevy Equinox 2024 LT can count on diesel power. A 1.6-liter engine delivers 140 horsepower. For this setup, engineers are choosing a six-speed automatic transmission and FWD. The fuel economy jumps to 33 mpg combined while achieving 250 lb-ft of twist at the same time.
For the next season, the compact crossover might get a hybrid engine. Everything is still speculation. With the competition arming with hybrid engines (Rav4, Escape, CR-V), Chevy will have to do something with its Equinox. Still, we don’t know if the LT package will include a new source of power.
